Install GitHub CLI and log in

The gh command for pull requests, issues and repos, signed in to your GitHub account.

Install GitHub CLI
Terminal
```
brew install gh
```
Log in
Terminal
```
gh auth login
```
Choose GitHub.com, then HTTPS or SSH, then "Login with a web browser" and enter the code it shows.

Check it worked

Check you're logged in
Terminal
```
gh auth status
```

Undo it

Log out and uninstall
Terminal
```
gh auth logout && brew uninstall gh
```

Install GitHub CLINeeds sudo
Terminal · Ubuntu / Debian
```
sudo apt install -y gh
```
Log in
Terminal · Ubuntu / Debian
```
gh auth login
```
Choose GitHub.com, then HTTPS or SSH, then "Login with a web browser" and enter the code it shows.

Check it worked

Check you're logged in
Terminal · Ubuntu / Debian
```
gh auth status
```

Undo it

Log out and uninstallNeeds sudo
Terminal · Ubuntu / Debian
```
gh auth logout && sudo apt remove -y gh
```

Install GitHub CLI
PowerShell
```
winget install --id GitHub.cli
```
Close and reopen PowerShell afterwards.
Log in
PowerShell
```
gh auth login
```
Choose GitHub.com, then HTTPS or SSH, then "Login with a web browser" and enter the code it shows.

Check it worked

Check you're logged in

```
gh auth status
```

Undo it

Log out and uninstall
